DIN standard (Deutsches Institut für Normung, German Institute for Standardization) is a technical standard system for steel pipes and other materials in Germany.

DIN standard is the national standard of Germany and is widely used in the manufacture of various materials and industrial products, including steel pipes. DIN standard covers the requirements of manufacturing process, chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional tolerance and other aspects of steel pipes to ensure the consistency and reliability of product quality.

According to DIN standard, the material of steel pipes is usually divided into several categories such as carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel. Specific materials and steel grades are as follows:
DIN 2391: used for precision seamless steel pipes, common materials include ST35, ST45, ST52, etc.
DIN 17175: suitable for seamless steel pipes under high temperature conditions, common materials are 15Mo3, 13CrMo44, 10CrMo910, etc.
DIN 2448: standard seamless steel pipes, suitable for various purposes, common materials are ST37.0, ST44.0, ST52.0, etc.

According to DIN standards, steel pipes can be classified according to different manufacturing processes, uses, structures, etc.:
Manufacturing process: including seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes. Seamless steel pipes such as DIN 2391, welded steel pipes such as DIN 2440.
Use: can be divided into structural steel pipes (such as DIN 1626), boiler steel pipes (such as DIN 17175), fluid conveying steel pipes (such as DIN 2458), etc.
Shape: mainly divided into round steel pipes, square steel pipes and rectangular steel pipes.

Steel pipes can be used in a variety of industrial fields according to different materials and standards:
Structural steel pipes: used in buildings, bridges, mechanical structures and other fields, with high strength and toughness, such as DIN 1629.
Transport steel pipes: used to transport liquids and gases, such as oil, natural gas, etc., commonly used in the petrochemical industry, such as DIN 2440.
Boiler pipes: used for boilers and heat exchangers under high temperature and high pressure, such as DIN 17175.

DIN standard steel pipes are widely used in machinery manufacturing, construction, petrochemical industry, electric power and other fields, ensuring the quality and safety of materials.
