PPGI stands for Pre-painted Galvanized Iron, which is a galvanized steel sheet or coil that has been pre-coated. The wide application of PPGI lies in its superior corrosion resistance and rich color selection, making it highly practical in the fields of construction, home appliances, furniture, etc.

PPGI is mainly made of cold-rolled steel sheet, hot-dip galvanized steel sheet, and electro-galvanized steel sheet as the substrate, and is made through chemical pretreatment, primary coating, and fine coating. The selection of the substrate and the improvement of the treatment process make PPGI have strong corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties.

PPGI is divided into the following categories according to the coating:
Polyester (PE) coating: This coating has good adhesion, rich colors and good formability, and is suitable for general building roofs and walls.
High weather-resistant polyester (HDP) coating: This coating enhances weather resistance on the basis of polyester and is suitable for environments with harsh climates.
Fluorocarbon (PVDF) coating: It has excellent weather resistance, corrosion resistance and color retention, and is suitable for high-demand building exterior wall decoration.
Silicon modified polyester (SMP) coating: combines the advantages of polyester and silicone resin, with good weather resistance and heat resistance.

The steel grade of PPGI varies according to the substrate. Common steel grades include:
SGCC: ordinary structural steel, often used for general purposes.
DX51D+Z: standard galvanized steel, used for construction and structural applications.
S250GD+Z: high-strength steel, suitable for building structures with higher strength requirements.

The production and quality control of PPGI usually follow international standards, such as:
EN 10169: European standard involving technical requirements for continuously coated metal sheets.
ASTM A653: American standard involving specifications and requirements for galvanized steel sheets.
JIS G 3312: Japanese standard for color-coated steel sheets.

The uses of PPGI are very wide, mainly including:
Construction field: roof panels, wall panels, ceilings, sound insulation panels, pipes, etc.
Home appliance manufacturing: housings of refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwave ovens, etc.
Furniture manufacturing: bookshelves, cabinets, door and window frames, etc.
Transportation: containers, automotive interior and exterior parts, shipbuilding, etc.

Through different coatings, substrates and production processes, PPGI can meet the different needs of various applications and become an indispensable part of modern industry and life.
